It is my very great honour to be the club captain for 2022. The Dyke Golf Club is amongst one of the very best golf courses in Sussex, a classic downland test with unsurpassed views of Brighton and Hove and out across the English Channel. You will find a welcoming club with a relaxed and progressive attitude to modern golf. The course itself never plays the same one day to the next, with the wind dictating club choice from hole to hole. We have well draining fairways and fast and true greens played all year round. I hope you enjoy your round and the welcoming staff and members are here to answer any questions you may have.

I’m delighted to be Lady Captain and very much looking forward to a year where we can leave Covid interruptions behind and once again enjoy everything that this fantastic golf club has to offer. We have a full and varied calendar with more events than ever open to a mixed field, and for those wanting more relaxed golfing there are plenty of opportunities to team up and play some fun golf competitions on Tuesdays and at the weekend. Our Saturday roll up continues to go from strength to strength, and our new golfing ladies are enjoying their learning journey with the support of their ‘buddies’. All year round, there’s lots on offer for everyone whatever you want out of your golf - come along, have a chat and find out more, we’re a very friendly welcoming bunch!

Martin joined the Dyke as Assistant Secretary in 2011. He took on the role of Secretary in 2013 and is an active member of the Golf Club Members Association and Young Managers Association. An active golfer, Martin reached a low of 2 handicap.

Bradley has been working at the Dyke since 2014 as our Deputy House Manager. In 2022 he took on the role of Assistant Secretary. Bradley is an avid golfer and has reached a handicap low of 6, enjoys reading and is a published author.

Paul joined us as House Manager in 2011, he manages the bar and catering with his team of permanent and casual staff. Prior to the Dyke he managed a variety of pubs and restaurants as well as franchises for a golf club and Brighton Marina Yacht Club. Paul focuses on using local produce and suppliers, delivering a mix of flavoursome modern and traditional cuisine.

Rob has been a greenkeeper with us since 1990 after he qualified. He manages the team of 6 greens staff, and plays golf to a reasonable standard.

Mark has been a professional since 1998 and Head Professional at the Dyke since 2007. In his spare time he competes in Triathlons for fun!

Robin has been a member of the Dyke for 21 years and was Club Captain 2008/09. Robin was re-elected to serve a further 3 years as Chairman in April 2020.

Ken has been a member of the Dyke for 38 years and was Club Captain 1997. Ken was re-elected to serve a further 3 years as Finance Director in April 2020.

Jill has been a member of the Dyke for 39 years and was Lady Captain 2001. Jill was re-elected to serve a further 3 years as Course Director in April 2020.

Pat has been a member of the Dyke since 1996 and has served in various roles on the ladies and main committee and was Lady Captain in 2005/6. Pat was elected to serve as House Director in April 2022.

Carol has been a member of the Dyke since 2014. Carol was elected to serve as Estates Director in April 2022.

Natalie Joined the Dyke Golf Club in 2021. Natalie has worked within the food and beverage industry for a decade and has a keen eye for detail. Having worked locally for many years, Natalie is knowledgeable on local produce and works closely with suppliers to find the best offers for our members and visitors.
